Both options provide practical job training and employment support. The program name reflects where the participant is in their transition to work.

School Leaver Employment SupportsFor young people leaving high school who are preparing for work, independence and their next step after school.
JOB TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
Skills for work and independence
Participants can explore different areas before choosing the pathway that best suits their strengths, interests and employment goals.
Creative & Digital Skills
Develop practical skills through art, design, photography, media and digital projects.
Hospitality Skills
Explore coffee, baking, food preparation, customer service and safe workplace routines.
Real Work Experience
Visit and practise in community workplaces, including Eben Coffee House at Concord Library.
Work & Independence
Build confidence, communication, workplace habits and greater independence for life after school.

01COFFEE
Coffee & Barista
Coffee preparation, customer service, cash handling, cleaning and teamwork at Burwood, Concord Library and our Mobile Coffee Cart.
02BAKERY
Bakery & Food Preparation
Supported experience making cookies, cakes, sandwiches and other products while building safe kitchen and production skills.
03CREATE
Art, Products & Design
Original artwork and design developed into mugs, tumblers, candles, clothing, coasters and merchandise for the community.
04MEDIA
Media & Marketing
Practical projects in photography, video, social media, content creation and digital promotion.
05OFFICE
Admin & Customer Service
Everyday workplace skills including communication, organisation, orders, basic administration and serving customers.
SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
Training happens in places where the community can see it.

Learning by making,

Participants practise real tasks across creative production, hospitality and social enterprise.

The right support helps people succeed at work.
At Eben Coffee House, participants practise real tasks alongside support workers who understand their communication, learning and sensory needs. Support is practical and person-centred—helping each team member build confidence and independence.
MELBOURNE COFFEE LEARNING TOUR
Learning from one of Australia’s great coffee cities.
Our team travelled to Melbourne to explore café culture, visit coffee specialists and experience different approaches to brewing and customer service. The tour connected practical learning with new ideas to bring back to Eben Coffee House.
