International Day of People with Disability

Ebenezer Mission hosts an annual festival in celebration of the International Day of Disability, in partnership with Canada Bay Council. The festival will take place on December 2nd this year, and we will be offering a diverse range of activities such as music concerts, dance performances, art galleries, sausage sizzles, coffee carts and more. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all abilities to come together and celebrate diversity through the arts. 2023 IDPWD Festival

Another amazing celebration for the International Day of People with Disability in 2023! Our collaboration with Canada Bay Council yielded another impactful year dedicated to highlighting the remarkable talents and capabilities of individuals with disabilities. The event  was a showcase of music and dance, featuring captivating performances by Ebenezer Mission’s Special Choir, Orchestra, Club Weld, and Rhodes Multicultural Community Association. The venue was busy with local businesses and service providers setting up stalls, not only offering products but also providing valuable information on disability services. Amidst the festivities, our coffee cart served more than just caffeine, it symbolised our commitment to spotlighting crucial employment and job training programs for people with disabilities. A sincere appreciation extends to Councillor Andrew Ferguson, whose impassioned speech fervently advocated for the rights and opportunities of this resilient community.
