Fiona Martin MP of Liberal Party Australia visits Ebenezer Mission

Fiona Martin MP of Australian Liberal Party recently visited Ebenezer Mission’s Burwood centre to discuss the important work Ebenezer Mission has been doing in and amongst the community.

The MP spoke with some of the Ebenezer’s participants and the Ebenezer Mission team on all the helpful services provided by the organisation to support people with disabilities.

During her stay, the MP also enjoyed a coffee at the Eben Cafe, made by one of our participants, James.

Ebenezer participant, James, making coffee for Fiona Martin MP.

Ebenezer participants were delighted to speak with the MP, and share some of the skills they have learnt through Ebenezer programs, including barista training, gardening and candle making.

The skills Ebenezer participants have learnt, give participants an opportunity to gain practical work experience as well as have fun alongside friends.

Among some of the services provided by Ebenezer, music therapy, art therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology services have been a central support for people with disabilities to live confident and independent lives.

Ebenezer Mission’s disability services span widely, ranging from up-skilling activities that assist with self-confidence and independence, all the way to support services, such as; assistance with daily life and allied health

Ebenezer Mission would like to thank Fiona Martin MP of Liberal Party Australia, for visiting our Burwood location and taking the time to get to know how the Ebenezer Mission team are positively impacting the community.
